David Van Rensselaer
As a wealth manager who puts his clients first, David uses a holistic and comprehensive approach to investment planning. He advises clients about portfolio management consistent with their overall financial goals, liquidity needs, time horizons, risk tolerances, and asset allocation preferences. By focusing on helping clients work toward defining and achieving their individual goals, David creates customized financial plans for each one of his clients.
Once a tailored investment strategy is implemented, the process is far from over. All plans and investment strategies are monitored and reviewed on a regular basis. When there is a change in a client’s goals or there is an economic shift, recommendations and updates are made to the strategy and plan. When possible, David enjoys face-to-face portfolio reviews at a minimum of four times a year with each of his clients.
With over 9 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, David brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients. After working for two of the biggest brokerages in the country, UBS Financial Services and Wells Fargo Advisors, David joined 360 Financial Partners in 2012. Now free from the "Big Bank" mentality and with the ability to give independent advice, David knows he is providing a better service to his clients.
David maintains his series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as insurance licenses in life, accident, and health. He currently lives with his wife, Virginia, and two golden retrievers in Mount Pleasant, SC. As an Eagle Scout, David has sat on multiple boards and committees from the district to the council level for the Boy Scouts of America. He attends St. Philips Church in Charleston and is an alumni of the College of Charleston. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and conservation projects and volunteers with the East Cooper Ducks Unlimited chapter.
